On Repeat

At Bell we found the recent melt-freeze crust right up to ridgecrest. The crust was unsupportive and we didn't trust it to keep our sleds off the rocks. The snow depth was shallow and variable in the alpine. A quick profile showed a consolidated snowpack. We also saw 5cm loose snow on top of the crust that we'll keep an eye on when it gets windy.
