Fraser Chutes

-2C warming to 0C.Did a couple quick laps at the Chutes, gambling on some dense pow, but instead found that recent storm snow had formed into a melt/freeze sun crust that was mostly supportive and overlaid loose faceted snow. Some small settlements in meadows and isolated drifts and slabs that exhibited cracking. Skiing was “dust on crust” so I went to check how the snow fared on the less sun-exposed slopes at Log Cabin. Turns out: much better.
