Skied a bowl in the Perry Creek area. Around 10 cm new snow from Tuesday on top, which skied well. Dug a pit at 1850 m in east facing glade. Hs 110 cm. At 35 cm down, there is a surface hoar layer, probably from the December cold snap. Easy to moderate test results on this layer. Bottom half of the snowpack is loose facets. Good skiing on flatter terrain because it was fast enough. Snow below treeline on the approach was terrible - mostly facets, with a raincrust near the top.
