Banff Yoho & Kootenay National Park

Sebastian Taborszky , Sunday 3rd April, 2022 2:30PM

Fresh 5-8 cm of snow sitting on hard, avalanche scoured bed or rugged debris in the gully

Weather conditions were: Cold.

Guiness Gully has run full path, naturally triggered in the past week (unknown date). Wet loose, rugged heavy debris beween all ice pitches, a few healthy mature broken trees at bottom. The same applies to the next gully to the W, heavy debris came to within 30m of road through mature trees, close to where we park, unknown date (past week). Ice quality was amazing, fat blue hero ice.
