<p>Sun is fun!
Ya, the snow is kinda wind affected, but feeling the sun on your face in January was worth getting above treeline for a quick lap. Near Mear Lake, we found a stable snowpack with only small lingering wind slabs as a concern. We tried out some steeper open slopes, but the better quality snow is still in the trees.</p>
