Weather

Over 48hrs the wind has been steady from the SE. Both Saturday and Sunday there were strong gusts that bordered on extreme. The evenings seemed relatively calm down low. No precipitation Saturday or Sunday.

Snowpack

Little exploring hike to see what the snow is like. The snow is pretty snow pressed, with isolated pockets of softer (likely wind transported) snow in the trees. Skiing on the shallow wind pressed surfaces was still fun. Found a little pocket to do a profile. See the images. Incline: 25 deg HS: 155 The interface around 30cm's down was 4F and faceted. The layer of interest was 90cm's down is K hardness with apparent facets beneath. Another K hardness layer was down 100cm's again with facets beneath. Performed two compression tests, with these average results: CTM3 @ 16cm down RP CTH7 @ 30cm down SP
