Quick report

No recent avalanches, cracking, or collapsing. Warm temps and strong solar heated/settled snow surfaces on slopes facing the sun.

Snowpack

Poor snowpack structure. Dug in a location sheltered from wind and sun, and did not find any buried surface hoar. There was evidence of a large wind event prior to the initial burial of the January drought layer with pine needles ontop of the 2mm facets where the column propagated.

7500' NE aspect ECTP22 down 35cm on 2mm facets (JDL).
