Quick report

The extended column test collapsed on tap 12 at 181 cm but did not propagate (ECTN12@181). A sudden collapse was (SC) was observed during the compression test on tap number 12 at 181 cm. (CT12@181). A hardness profile revealed a relatively consistent snowpack with the exception of an ice layer at 116cm. While the snowpack is solidifying and becoming more consistent, a weak layer still exists at 181cm. With projected snowfall and high winds, this may eventually turn into a persistent or wind slab problem.

Snowpack

The total depth of the snowpack was 205cm. The snowpack seems to be setting up as the hardness is becoming more consistent. However, there is an ice layer located at 116cm with 4F hardness underneath.
