Gorge Km 17

Our test was surprising. We expected the new 20cm of storm snow to be reactive. It was mildly reactive, but the surprise was a 55cm layer going on two light taps. Below that we could not get any other layers to let go. That changed our plan for the day. We still skied steep east aspects, but made sure we had a plan for escape, and kept an eye on possible trigger points. An amazing day of skiing overall.
