Quick Observation

We found better skiing conditions than we initially thought in low angle, tree slopes. It was creamy powder pretty much from the top of the treeline to the end of the summer road. We played pretty conservative and didn’t venture too far up into the alpine, where things looked quite wind affected. Snowpack wise, the mid January crust/facet combo is there and it’s spooky!! We had moderate results on both initiation and propagation of this weak layer. It’s probably a good time to keep it mellow.

Snowpack
