We spent today at Groundhog Lake where the intense cold kept us close to the warmth of the cabin. It warmed up to a whopping -29ÂșC today and the cool temps are keeping the new snow soft and fluffy. We saw one little wind slab from previous southerly winds and a few loose dry avalanches in the steep terrain around the lake. The recent wind shift from south to north has started blowing snow around leaving soft, thin windslabs in a wide variety of places.
