Rode Australia (E asp) and 420 (N-NE) in afternoon. Air temp -1.0 at 1780m at 1530hrs. Snowing less than one cm/hr, winds calm at TL and BTL. Ski penetration to 30cm above 1600m in facetted but dry surface snow. Some wind effect noted but little slabbing. Surface snow sluffing in terrain >35 degrees. Snow surface remained light and dry.
