Gorge

We rode Gorge on Sunday Nov 24. Weather was cloudy, no precip, temp range from -5 to -1. We rode a variety of aspects, steep trees, as well as the bowls higher up. No signs of instability in the trees. Snow was powder, about 20 cm ski pen. On the ridge tops, there was wind effect. There were some small wind slabs, but nothing propagating. We were interested in riding a small chute (but concerned with wind slab at the entrance), so we dropped a small cornice down the chute which did not cause any avalanche activity. We then rode the chute without complications. Great early season conditions!
