-6 in the alpine today at 1300hrs. Broken sky, mainly bluebird but clouds present. 3cms of new snow overnight in the alpine....not enough. Where it exists, the surface hoar is now buried by this 3cm of new precip from valley bottom to alpine. Areas affected by wind transport could now have a windslab sitting over this sensitive surface hoar layer from light south west winds. Midpack is still bulletpoof. Late November crust down 70cm at 2000m nonreactive to testing. Need a good dose of snow badly, but the sunny days are making it tolerable. Ride safe and keep an eye out for hoars.
