Quick Observation

With another warm, sunny day in the forecast, we wanted to go find out if there are areas where the snow hasn't yet been affected by the warm weather. We stayed away from solar slopes, especially as it got warmer throughout the day. We found that north facing slopes above around 1700m still have dry snow, and this is where we found the best ski conditions. Older natural loose wet avalanches can be observed on many solar slopes from recent warm, sunny weather. There is still good skiing to be found on higher north aspects, and we ended our day early to avoid the warmest part of the day.
