Cobra Verde

Much colder than expected: -17. First pitch was still pretty soft and picked out, second pitch was a bit explosive due to cold, third pitch was extremely explosive with 3ft wide ice lenses blowing off. The third pitch is well formed and worth doing, you can stay out of the creek. On rappel only about 3-6ft ended up in the water even though we didn't bother with saddle bags or anything similar. Watch for newly formed thin ice covering open holes between all pitches- these were starting to get covered in snow but would not support a person's weight. Wind was blowing all day, leading to a continuous trickle of spindrift down pitch 2
