We attempted to travel and check out the snow conditions on Frisby Ridge. We experienced rain up to about 1700 m, and light ice pellets above to the ridgeline. It was intensely foggy, limiting any observations and meant we couldn't travel far off the main track. We dug a quick pit at 2100 m and found 20 cm of moist snow above an increasing resistant snowpack. A quick compression test found no significant results.
