Skied Bow Summit on Thursday. Rain as we drove up the parkway but changed to snow around Mosquito Creek. Tons of wet heavy snow at the parking lot and throughout the skin up. Only about -2 in the parking lot. As we broke out of the tree line the snow was lighter and there was a ton of wind. Could see wind lips forming but stayed in the small trees. There was a ton of wind once you got out of the trees and visibility was low. Temperature dropped throughout the day and visibility increased by the end of the day.
All the tracks from last weekend have been filled in and it snow the entire time we were there. Skiing was great as far as early season goes (40-50cm base in some areas with a seemingly stable snowpack to boot) but the odd rock is lingering till we get more base in there.
Great day for November.
