A classic high avy day, ticking many of the classic red flags. Got remote triggers and skier triggers on all aspects skied (N, E, S) at tree line. Saw evidence of widespread naturals on N slopes both near ridgelines and midway down slopes where wind loading wouldn't be a factor. All appeared to be moving on the melt freeze crust from last week's warm temps. Stuck to mostly mellow slopes, but small rolls were still kicking off regularly.
About 40-45cms at the top of Strachan at 2pm, and still snowing heavily. Temps warmed throughout the day, and though snow quality stayed good there was a definite density change about midway through the storm snow.
Surprisingly little wind or wind affect at treeline, even along the Strachan ridgeline.
