auto: Quick Report

Went up Bow Summit today. Good powder 15 to 30 cm of soft snow on top of nice supportive layer for good travel and fun skiing. At TL on a NE 25 deg aspect a large group kindly left a pit dug all the way to ground, at 215cm deep, so we stopped to do a couple tests. Compression test failed on facets down about 175cm: sudden planar at 18 taps. Saw propagation test dropped about 25cm into the cut but did not slide off. We observed one fresh looking slab avalanche on the morning drive on upper, steep E facing slopes of Mount Jimmy simpson.
