Chick A Boom Traverse

Pleasant day on the Chick A Boom. Good coverage on the glacier. From the Boom side we made the high traverse to save elevation to make the exit col back on the Chickadee side, rather than exiting Boom Lake. Stay high and it's easy to find. Descended to Chickadee valley bottom by the obvious centre-left avalanche path in Photo 3. Requires a bit of traversing from col to hit it, but made for pleasant turns and easy travel to valley bottom skin track.
Riding conditions OK. Good old powder on the glacier, but widespread thin breakable crusts of various types on all aspects (wind, sun) made for hooky turns at at times. We didn't get corn in the avy path back to Chickadee, but it was nice and soft enough for controlled turns.
No signs of recent avalanche activity.
