Lepsoe East face

Got an early start and were back down to the car by 9am. On the North aspect beside the uptrack we were surprised by how well preserved the snow was despite the warm temps yesterday. Thin crust with light powder below. With the overnight freeze we were comfortable skiing down the east aspect. The snowpack was not isothermal while we were out. East aspect had a firm melt-freeze crust in open areas near the top of Lepsoe. Snow was medium/heavy density without a crust in the trees where it was sheltered from direct sunlight. No whoomphs, shooting cracks, pin-wheeling or other signs of instability. Fun morning.
