Consistent Strong-Extreme NW winds at ridgetop today have contributed to a variety of wind affected surfaces. Light-Moderate winds at treeline and some great skiing in sheltered terrain.
While skiing down the NE slope of Purple Mountain, I remote triggered a 1.5 wind slab near ridgetop from 80m away.
Saw evidence of numerous avalanches to Size 2.5 (small 3's?) off the SW flanks of Redoubt Mountain and SE face of Unity Peak. These look to have come down naturally in the last 12-24 hours.
Observed more recent evidence of avalanches including a wind slab size 1.5 near ridgetop off the SE slopes of Lipalian Mountain and a loose dry Size 1.5 off the Western slopes of Unity Peak.
