auto: Quick Report

The buried surface hoar layer, down 50cm (roughly) was still present at treeline. We found hoar crystals up 3mm in size. Results from hand shear tests were stubborn. If I were to take a guess, I’d say the layer is beginning to round out (at least from what we saw). That said, we still weren’t willing to tackle any avalanche terrain today. Confidence was low, better to wait and see what happens.
