Bow Falls Area

Ice climbing in the Bow Falls area, ended up climbing the flows right of Bow falls for 3 pitches up to WI4. Didn't climb Bow due to spindrift or Gorby's due to spindrift and cornice failure/formation above. Parking was plowed, lake not frozen enough to cross (open water visible in spots).

Multiple immature (soft) cornice failures, especially nearby Gorby Falls. Cornice line is jagged from the small failures.

Strong winds in the morning with a fair amount of blowing snow at ridgeline and frequent spindrift avalanches coming down over Bow and Gorby's. Calm winds in the afternoon with new snow falling.
