Quick Observation

excellent ski quality. 5to7cm new overnight (friday Feb3rd night). snowed -1cm for most of day. Elevaation range: 2000m to 2400m. skied glades, open alpine bowl and shorter steep shots. Where slab was on top of the Dec facets, we stuck to conservative, supported terrain. In places there there was no slab (entire snowpack was facets) we rode short shots up to 40degrees. We has 'popping' results on our compression tests 2250m, east aspect in wind affected terrain (slab) down 70cm on facets. We also found surface hoar down 15cm in the same wind exposed ridge crest. This will of course all change with the new snow.
