Clouds cleared in the afternoon around 2pm, with strong solar effect.

Snowpack

Dug pit on a 30 degree slope below treeline, at the GPS coordinates listed. Snowpack depth was 90cm details as follows: (top 3 cms were fresh snow from overnight) Easy fist to 60cm above ground; fist to 40cm; 4 fingers to 25cm; finger to 10cm; ice crystal layer to ground. Did an isolation column test: 80cm layer reacted at 3 from elbow; 60cm layer reacted at 3 from shoulder; 45cm layer reacted at 3 hard. No further reaction to 10 hard. The day warmed to slightly above 0 in the afternoon. We skied a couple of runs and no signs of reactivity to 2 AT skiers and a Telemark skier.
