Sunshine on Geronimo

Really great conditions in the shames backcountry today. Blue skies and sunshine, minimal wind, ambient temps below zero on the ridge. Rode north bowl and geronimo bowl with maybe 15-20cm powder, no signs of instability on our lines. Felt the snow softening up quite a bit when crossing steep solar aspects, but the bowls themselves were fantastic dry powder. Snow definitely got crustier below treeline and in valley bottom on south aspect. Plenty of wind effect along top of the ridge, but not in protected areas and treeline. Saw lots of pinwheeling on south aspects during the afternoon and a few small rider-triggered sluffs.
