Incredible snow conditions today at Iago north bowl. Took a variety of entries from 25 degree to 35 degree slope entries into the bowl. Mostly sluffing on the 35degree slopes but snowpack showed slabby and propagation potential. The slope mellows out quick so we felt ok with a steep entery second run. See other notes for snowpack and weather obvs.
generally a snowy day, heaviest rates in the early to mid afternoon upwards of 2cm/hr. Snow stopped and the sun came out for about 30 mins just before noon before clouded over again and snow returned. A short period of graupel mixed in as well.
Two tests, CTM11 and ECTP15 results on 35cms of new snow sitting on the Melt/Freeze crust. Top 5-7cms very low density, fist thickness becoming 4finger for the rest down to the crust. Below that crust, 1finger thickness down to late January crust. Didn't dig any lower, snowpack temp was -5 for the entire upper meter.
