We keep saying it but its still winter up there.
Snow was moist from daytime warming at 1200m but above 1400m winter still has a strong grasp.
We found 20cm of fresh snow that had been redistributed by moderate to strong South West winds and some great riding quality for the start of April.
The visibility was in and out today but we did observed two size 1.5 natural wind slabs out of lee (N/NE) alpine slopes.
In our test profile we had no results in an extended column test and found the
Jan 26th facet/crust combo down 170 in this location.
Great day zooming around the meadows and with moments of sunshine!
