Ascended 5040 on Saturday to celebrate a birthday in drizzly and windy conditions. Winds picked up later afternoon from the N. Around 6pm wet snow began falling as temps dropped and transitioned to fluffy snow and -2.5C at the hut. ~30cm fell in total above 1050m. On Sunday the snow remained fluffy and dry above 1050m on slopes not receiving direct sunlight even into the late afternoon. These areas skied amazingly! Sun soaked slopes became wet by 11am in addition to tree bombing and pinwheeling.
