Good skiing to be had on the coq

Great day on Thar! We skipped the NYE party and woke up early to ski some pow with few people around. The cloud was sitting at 1800m, with light winds. Ski pen 20cm with monashee style powder on top. HS 155 at 1800m. The top 10cms of surface snow is the concern right now: We triggered some small size 1 slabs on steep convexities and skied a few chutes with the same happening, mostly on E/SE aspects. Awesome, but watch the sluff. The bottom part needs more snow, but the pipeline even offered up some turns!
