YAA Field Tech fraser

Our objectives were to get accurate weather observations and a full profile at highway elevations in sheltered / non-wind effected terrain. Driving the HWY around Log Cabin I observed multiple size 1 - 2 natural avalanches, snowballing and rock fall. At Fraser, light rain and warming temps are adding moisture / weight to the upper snowpack. Basal facets and multiple ice layers are now buried under a moist upper snowpack. (see pics) Cloud moved in decreasing visibility and brought light rain.
