Test Pit at 2050m. Top roll of the ridge we skied. NE Aspect HS 250 CTH 24, 28 (SP) down 85 on fc .5 - 2 2/3 CTH 30 (B) down 87 on fc .5 - 2 1/3 Appears to be 1F facets below a P windslab, failing at the interface. While skinning up, heard one whumph while walking through a sheltered boulder field at the bottom of the face. Dug a hasty pit low down in the sheltered bowl. CTM 17 (SP) down 45 on V 1-2. Surface Hoar was not evident on pit wall or in upper pit, just below a layer of more dense new snow and graupel.
