Today we rode at Seaton. The storm over the last few days delivered between 40 and 50 cm of snow with continued snowfall throughout the day. Riding conditions were excellent.
We dug on north and south facing aspects and found the Nov 24th and Nov 30th surface hoar layers in both of our snowpits. In our snowpit on a northern aspect, we obtained moderate results from compression tests. In the south-facing snowpit, we were able to get full propagation across our block while cutting out our test column. These are concerning test results that reinforced our decision to stay clear of avalanche terrain and enjoy the deep turns in the meadows.
We observed no new avalanches.
