Feeling the burn

Skied NE facing burn in the Red Deer area. Valley temps were still cold but we were in -2C all day. 20 to 30 cm powder with ~10 cm overnight, well bonded to a very well settled old snow base. Moderate to strong SW winds which were depositing a bit of snow in lee slopes, but not major. Higher and more exposed slopes were getting wind crusted. The only reaction was a shallow slab in one convexity which didn't propagate any distance.
