Tent Ridge

30-40 cm of new snow. One short run on N-NE aspect down skiers right. Kept the angle low at 20-25 degrees.

HS at pit location was 220 cm (protected area). While isolating (cutting back of col.) for 1st CT had sudden failure/collapse when saw reached depth hoar near base of snowpack. Got my full attention! Mixed results on subsequent CTs, as small tree in lower right half of pit wall skewed results. New snow seems to have bonded to the March 24th surface for NE aspects. Mid-pack shows strength, but bottom two feet is nothing but depth hoar.
