Mt Chief Pascal

Routefinding was much harder than a year ago likely due to the low snow pack, heavily overgrown trail, and faded or melted skin tracks. Movement through dense trees was at times challenging. As we reached the top much later than intended (1-2pm), it was already above 0°C, and a lot of pinwheeling and sluffs around especially the steeper areas, we decided to ride down through the sparse trees and mellower terrain (NE slopes). The boulder field between the trees and the alpine run from the peak did not have enough snow to consider. Gorgeous views all around, Joffre was especially stunning.
