Quick Observation

Went out for a couple of laps off the resort. Rode a NW aspect 1700-2000m elevation roughly. We were pretty much in the trees all day. Had about 20-30cm of unconsolidated powder on top of the rain crust. No signs of slabbing, consolidation or wind slabs (seemed to be fairly protected from the wind in the trees). We stayed in the trees and rode 1 gully feature and the riding was good, no scary signs on the way down. Early season conditions to look out for!

Snowpack

Didnt dig a pit, observations were from skinning and hand shears.
