Quick Observation

Hypothetically speaking: if you were to have left your desk in Whitehorse and snuck in a quick midweek lap or two of the chutes below 1300m today, you *might* have found: ~40+cm HST, still unconsolidated very low density blower powder bonding gradually to previous surfaces. Surprisingly little sign of significant settlement or wind effect overnight at tl. No storm slab property observed at this relatively low elevation. Temps remained cold - around -18, wind light from the north before 2pm, accumulation rate light, 5cm pp throughout the morning. Excellent deep skiing at treeline. Visibility limited in the alpine. Hypothetically.
