Went up to Bow Summit NE Ridge to check out the snowpack, followed our skin track on the way down. Skiing felt supportive and nice turns on fresh snow. Moderate NW winds on the ridge, at tree line wind transport was visible on the surface of the snow.
At 2350m, HS varied from 70 to 95cm on the ridge. Upper snowpack was about 30cm of F snow, mid pack gradually becoming denser and 10cm of facets at the ground. ECTX.
CTM18 down 30 RP, CTH23 down 38 RP
CTM18 down 30 RP.
We saw previous slab avalanches on the slope skiers right of flower couloir, estimated sizes 1-1.5, likely slid in the last 24hours. Observed from a distance.
