Alpine Pow

Sat night's storm stayed cold in the alpine! Skied to the base of 7th first thing in the AM. The road and initial climb up to disease ridge was horribly icy. Turned to quality powder around TL. Skied disease ridge and a small slope underneath Blackcomb's S face. Underneath the new snow was an extremely supportive, thick crust. We climbed up 7th in the afternoon to ski out, skiing down to midstation would involve a lot of survival skiing and plenty of walking as the snow line doesn't get anywhere near midstation.
