Quick Observation

Booted up finger chutes to the ridgeline. Had great turns in the area yesterday. Column test had top 5cm release easily 2 taps. Starting again 20 taps (10 from the elbow) popped 50cm. Hoarfrost? Could not get the basal layer to fail today. Very reactive 2cm - 8cm windskin layer on the way up but otherwise each step forward felt mostly supportive. Wallowing in facets otherwise. Objective was far skiers right chute but the light socked in and confidence flagged. Skied down above rock garden. Nice turns, not much sluffing. Flat for the photos.
