Skied Oscar on north slopes (Pillowpalooza) and east slopes (Unreal Al). Found surface hoar down 30cm sitting on the Jan 16th rain crust which was giving easy results on unsupported features. More stomping on unsupported features had the slab breaking down to the Dec 15th rain crust. We avoided the big meadow on our ascent and descent because of this and stuck to thick trees, broken meadows and pillowed runs without overhead hazards. Ski quality was pretty good with 30cm dry powder although bottom half of Pillowpalooza was a bit too pillowy (low snow). Lots of slabs out on unsupported features during the last storm. Winds calm, sky overcast, visibility poor.
