Facets galore

Incredibly variable snow conditions. Polar aspects had heavily faceted snow at treeline and alpine. Beneath that was a supportive "chalky" snow layer which made steep skiing tricky. Solar aspects were crusty but softened up throughout the day. Had corn skiing in the Alpine by 3pm. BTL snow was absolutely crap as expected. Lots of surface hoar sighted on all sheltered aspects.
