Mount Gordon

Summited Mount Gordon from Bow lake (FYI follow shoreline where possible, some slush encountered). Broke trail; conditions marginal @ & below treeline (see pic), i.e. new bald spots on skins. Cruised quickly through the canyon - ice over the creek made sketchy bridges that held. Avoided overhead, lee features that appeared loaded on N/E aspects, and stayed on mellow slopes <30deg; no evidence of activity despite slides initiated by LL ski patrol and the natural sz1.5-2 debris personally observed 35km to the S.E. @ ~2590m on the E face of Lipalian Mountain the day prior (12/10/24). Probed 1 crevasse, yet up to 210cm on the Wapta neve - average depth around 120cm overall - YMMV. Rock step onto Gordon’s summit ridge (see pic) - not sure if typical with more coverage.
