Is this the East Coast? Reactive slab in Christmas Gully

Went for a stroll up Christmas Gully today. The line is kinda not really skiable. Some down climbing would be required given the open creek. Climbed up the gully until I encountered the open creek situation in the 4th photo. The bridge seemed solid but I decided not to test my luck and followed the trail through the forest. Found some very old and frozen wet slide debris in the upper choke point of the gully. See the photos. Didn’t see an obvious start zone from that slide. Starting around 1100 m 2 cm of fresh snow up to 7 cm at 1350 m. Very supportive crust up to 1200 m where it becomes mostly but not reliably supportive to bootpacking. Had crampons on from the bottom. Noticed a snow change around 1250 m and dug a hasty pit at 1350 m. Noticed a consolidated wet slab consisting of the fresh snow and a 5-10 cm crust on top of facets. Slab released on the facets. HS 140 cm at 1350 m. Investigated further with a compression test and got a result of CTV. Slab failed while digging out the column. One note is I didn’t have a saw so maybe this had an effect but the slab went very easily nonetheless. Skiing at this elevation looked not totally horrible given the slightly softer crust and more fresh snow. Elected to down climb given the slab and the consequence of even a small avy with the partially open creek and such. Dug another hasty pit at 1250 m and the slab was slightly harder to trigger but still kinda sketchy. Down climbed the trail through the forest. Its maybe skiable if you have ninja moves and a big enough pair. Then skied the bottom 100 m or so on a not really edgeable crust. Weather was clear everywhere except Christmas Gully. Socked in the whole time and consistent but light snowfall from 1:30 onwards. Maybe 1-2 cm accumulation. Trail isn’t skinable unless you like taking your skis off every 3 minutes.
