2nd skier in party of 2 triggered a class 1.5 - 2 wind slab avalanche that had a 100 meter long crown and ran 300-350 meters down lower portion of Ymir bowl. Trigger point was on a convex, north western facing slope and it propagated in both directions. The crown was 30-40 cms and it was slow moving. No burials or injuries.
The snow pack that was wind affected was cracking and that layer was breaking off in slabs.
