Grand Daddy

Skiied up to the base of GD Couloir. -10c at the car, but felt much warmer higher up and in the sun. Opted not to ski the Couloir since we witnessed large blocks of snow come tumbling down from above during our approach (presumably from the sunny faces above), and it being warmer than expected. The fan was a mix of rock hard avi debris and grabby wind crust (up to 4cm). The couloir didnt look like it held much better snow. The skiing in the trees below was surprisingly good, no sign of temp crust below treeline here.
