We skied Sunday and Monday in the Fitzsimmons range. Due to rapid warming and sunny conditions, we started early (4 am) both days to avoid travel during the hottest parts of the days. We finished travelling in avalanche terrain by 1200. On Monday morning, we saw evidence of loose wet avalanches on sun affected slopes that we had travelled safely on Sunday morning. The surface snow has started to go through melt freeze cycles everywhere, except a few of the highest N facing slopes where the snow was either soft and faceted or had harder wind slabs.
